Allegiance: Autobot Function: Unit commander "If you're not having fun, why bother?" Profile: Upstart is young, brash, and not particularly ambitious, qualities not usually seen as good in a unit commander. Fortunately he's Firestormer team Beta-5's commander only in name, being the only member of the team to have been through officer training. He refuses to take anything too seriously, even warfare. He knows how utterly depressed he would be if he allowed himself to think about the war too much, so he just tries to distract himself and keep it out of his mind. Instead he prefers to focus on enjoying life as much as possible, especially since deep down he knows how short it may be. Though rather friendly and affable, he remains cheerfully heartless to those around him, trying his best not to care much about even the closest of his friends. However, he's found himself caring more about his teammate Trixter than he's really comfortable with. Abilities: In jet mode, Upstart can reach speeds up to Mach 3 and is armed with a pair of wingtip-mounted lasers. In robot mode his weapon of choice is a regular-issue laser rifle.
