England Moments #2 - London's Natural History Museum

A number of my friends (including Graham) are big dino-geeks, so I'm going to put off "I Heart Tiny Cars" to go ahead and post the much-more-anticipated pictures I took at the Natural History Museum in London. I'll probably follow this with the somewhat-related pictures of the Victorian-era dinosaur statues from Crystal Palace.

Here's the museum building, just before opening. When we got up to the building I noticed the amazing details all around it, especially around the windows:

A nice Allosaurus skeleton:

Here's an animatronic display of some feathery Velociraptors harassing some Oviraptors. The lighting wasn't exactly designed for photography, but I know some people wanted to see it so I tried my best:

Babies!

There was a big display about the prevalence of dinosaurs in pop culture, and here's some stuff my Transfan friends should appreciate:

Graham said that Mon wanted to see the Baryonyx, so this is for him:

These are models of two of the Crystal Palace dinosaurs, sort of a preview of the pictures I'll have up later:

This was a little animatronic in a display case at the end of the exhibit. It was actually quite cute:

The lighting made it hard to photograph, but this was a beautiful exhibit on the structure of the Earth:

And look! A thylacine! :D

I'll try to get the Crystal Palace pics up soon.
